| The National Council of Women of Canada plays an important role in putting forward Council's position on established policy. Annually, NCWC prepares a Brief for the Federal Government on established policy. There is continuing monitoring by the National Council, by the Conveners of national Committees, and attention to issues and concerns brought forward. Currently, there are Conveners in the following areas: Economics - Karen Dempsey, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
