Toronto and Area Council of Women (TACW)

Toronto and Area Council of Women-----a group of former business and professional women, working in federation with 16 voluntary organizations and representing a broad spectrum of communities in the city and advocate for change issues affecting the well-being of women,families and the community.

Our concerns and suggestions for change are directly communicated to the mayor and city council and, where appropriate, to the provincial government of Ontario through our federation with the Provincial Council of Women of Ontario (PCWO). Matters concerning the federal government are communicated through our federation with the National Council of Women of Canada (NCWC).

Meetings are held on Tuesday mornings from 10a.m. to 12 noon once a month in St. Andrew,s United Church, 117 Bloor Street east. Topics presented by eloquent and knowledgable speakers cover Arts and Culture, Education, Environment, Health, Urban Affairs. Our monthly newsletter is distributed to members and interested individuals or groups and articles, notices, etc. are welcomed from the membership.
